I met John years ago in the 70’s (nineteen) when Tim Lane and I moved to Silverton, Colorado to work on the INSTAAR San Juan Project, a snow/avalanche research program.  We all became friends and John and I ended up doing a book together, Living and Dying in Avalanche Country and it went on from there.  Now John is off to more and different pursuits and here’s his website.    Dolores La Chappell’s last book is found and purchased here. Take a look, wander around and enjoy.  JR
