Get ready to bring on winter with the Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center on Friday, November 10 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey, Idaho. The Friends along with Title Sponsor Black Diamond Equipment are celebrating the best and the brightest of athletes and cinematographers from our own mountain community in the first ever Homegrown Film Festival. Join us to cheer, stomp, hoot and drop jaw at the premiere footage of short films from Spencer Cordovano, Yancy Caldwell, Wyatt Caldwell and Chase Cleveland (K2 Snowboards, Saga Outerwear, Stellar Media); Banks Gilberti and Jake Strassman (Crosson Skis, Orage, Zeal Optics, Sun Valley Resort, Adventures in Transition); Axel Peterson (4Frnt Skis, Orage, Voke Tab, Cast Touring, Bridger Brigade); McKenna Peterson (K2 Skis, SCOTT, Backcountry Access); Collin Collins (K2 Skis, Sun Valley Resort); Lexi DuPont (K2 Skis, Ojai Energetics, Hydroflask, Play Hard Give Back, independent producer); Karl Fostvedt (aka Crazy Karl, ON3P Ski CO, Dakine, Anon Optics); and Wing Tai Barrymore (Rockstar Energy, Full Tilt Boots, Saga Outerwear, Coal Headwear, Sun Valley Resort, US Ski Team 2017 Mens Half Pipe Pro Team).

This crew is as Homegrown as they come. 11 of the 12 athletes were raised in Sun Valley and grew up skiing with the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. Their photos and films grace the internet, ski magazines and winter film circuit. The Homegrown films were chosen by the athletes and edited into this special showing by the film makers in the crew. It is a one of a kind ski film presentation by the athletes for the athletes to 100% benefit the Sawtooth Avalanche Center.

Festivities start at 5 PM in front of the Liberty Theatre with eats cooked up by The Haven food truck , suds provided by Sawtooth Brewery and wine by Atkinson’s Markets. Doors open at 6PM and films start at 7PM sharp. Get ready for an evening of surprises, Black Diamond door prizes galore, and the best stash of winter footage going.

Tickets are on sale now in Ketchum at Backwoods Mountain Sports,
