Pacific storm moisture is beginning to enter western Colorado this morning and snow in the San Juan mountains beginning by mid-day. Several short term models show up to a foot of snow through tomorrow morning. With zonal turning NW flow the north and west side of the San Juan’s will be favored for higher snow totals above TL. I’m looking at lesser amounts of 4-8″ and hope I’m wrong.
By Sunday afternoon the trough will be southeast of the mountains with short term high pressure building … then mid-week/Wed. another Pacific low pressure system enters the San Juan’s on SW flow with potentially more snow.
