News from Portillo

Hey hermano

Second week of the season in Portillo. A 24 hour storm left 54cm of new snow at the base area. Multiple triggered releases with hand charges, air blasts and avalauncher rounds yesterday morning. As you can see in the attachment, we got dusted pretty good at the gun mount when our first shot of the day brought a size 2 avalanche down the Condor with debris ending up 1/2 way down the Plateau. Reminded me of the time that we had a similar result when you and Henry were at the top of the Plateau. Henry remembers you saying to him, “Isn’t anybody going to run?”
Un gran abrazo
Paco
