SNOTEL ~ Snow/H20 Equivalent

This visual shows a wet spring but keep in mind this is a snapshot comparison of 30 years running history of one day, May 15th. It’s not a total counting of the winter  snow/H20 which has been melting and sublimating, (in addition, growing and shrinking) for months.

  1. Hi Jerry
In this post you say the snowpack is melting and sublimating ( growing and shrinking] ……….. I thought melting and sublimating would be shrinking and shrinking …….. I never was much of a snow scientist .
The snowpack in Glacier Park is shrinking rapidly and Spring is in all it’s glory.
    Onno
