I thought back to one of the signs I saw displayed in front of the White House by a jubilant anti-Trumper after the 2020 election was called for Biden. “The End of an Error,” the sign read, though it turned out not to be. Instead, Trump lived on as a zombie political force, defeated but not really gone.
